Solid State Drives regardless of the name brand you choose or the size, this new technology, operates in pretty much the same way as your typical Hard Drive. The main difference is that the SSD's are made from a combination of memory chips, and a HD uses a spinning disk mechanism. Todays SSD are still a bit pricey for their gained benefits, but soon they will be giving the good old HD a run for its money.
