Christmas...Bah! Humbug

I don't know why it is, but this Christmas I'm not feeling at all myself, but rather more like the Grinch. Maybe it's because I work part-time at a major supermarket, and my employer chooses to play Christmas carols 24/7 starting the day after Remembrance Day. Yeah that's right since November 12, I've been subjected to the ongoing drone of looped holiday tunes. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the occasional festive jingle, but non-stop, on loop? If only I could convince the United Nations to put "Christmas Carols" on their agenda, anyone want to start a petition with me?
Maybe it has something to do with the increased traffic during the holiday season. I'm sure many of you already know how I feel about driving!
Maybe it's because I'm getting older and by doing so I'm becoming less tolerant of rude people.

Well, whatever it is, if you're not feeling the Christmas spirit either, then stay tuned as I post a few alternative Christmas crafts.

** By now you're probably realizing how I feel after a few hours at work. I've managed to get some 'festive holiday cheer' to play in the background, enjoy! **

This Netgear Prosafe 16 Port Gigabit Switch was part of a Craigslist lot I purchased, containing a bunch of computer equipment.  Seeing as I had no need for this switch, at the time, it just sat in my office collecting dust. Once I started my structured media home wiring project I realized the 16 port Netgear could be quite useful, but after a few unsuccessful attempts at utilizing it I realized it was DOA. Here's the situation, when this switch is plugged in, an LED will signify the unit is on and working, however whenever an Ethernet cable is inserted into any of the available jacks, there is no LED activity or connectivity. I took to the world wide web and came across a few similar situations all of which indicated that my unit probably had a bad capacitor. To verify if this was indeed the culprit behind my non functioning switch I woul
