Ad: Canadian Film Festival

This years Canadian Film Festival is almost over, as it runs from March 28-31. So chances are many of you are going to be missing out on the special promotion going on at the Royal Theatre in Toronto . During the festival the Royal Theatre will be embracing it's Canadian heritage and substituting pure maple syrup as a popcorn topping instead of the more customary butter. The Glowbar

Nope this isn't a post about some new glow-in-the-dark themed nightclub, which would be rather cool too, it's about this cool glow-in-the-dark crowbar. "The Glowbar Classic is a genuine forged high-carbon steel wrecking bar with a blinding green glow. Ideal for confusing hoards of zombies, you will never misplace your primary mêlée item in the back of your truck, apocalypse-mobile or HEV suit. Easy to find among inter-dimensional debris. Using a new Silicate-Aluminium-Oxide-based powder coating, it glows up to ten times brighter than conventional glow-in-the-dark items. What more do you need to know? This is a GLOW IN THE DARKCROWBAR." - Glowbar Inc.   Features: High Carbon Steel (for extra strength) Hyper-Phosphorescent Powder Coating 2% of all profits will go to the EFF, a non-profit that fights for technological freedom. Steel is infinitely recyclable. By: Mass Via - The Awesomer

Tron All Day

Most of you already know that every Friday I put out video(s) featuring some sort of extreme activity, with the hope of inspiring people to have an adrenaline packed weekend. Today will differ slightly in that everything will be Tron-ified! To start you off I have this cool video of the Daft Punk song Derezzed being played on floppy drives. While it's not extreme in the sense of adrenaline inspiring, it does invoke feelings of extreme geek-iness. By: Mass Via - Topless TRobot

Half Popped

I personally love diving into a bowl of un-popped kernels, the problem is that due to Orville Redenbacher's  hybridization of popcorn, today's popcorn has less un-popped kernels. Well a few clever folks from Seattle have taken it upon themselves and discovered a way to create fully cooked un-popped popcorn kernels. Their creation ' Halfpops ' currently comes in two flavours (Natural Butter & Pure Ocean Salt, and Natural Aged White Cheddar) with a possible third flavour coming out soon. Now Halfpops have been available for almost a year now, and is easily found at most supermarkets, that is if you're supermarket is south of the 49th parallel. Yeah, that's right, those of us living north of the 49th parallel have been forced to go without these savoury snacks. Now you would think the fraternal bond of living in the Pacific Northwest would warrant us (Vancouverites) some kind of special treatment, I mean with free trade and all, but that doesn't seem to be
