Dzmitry Samal Watches Collection (Four)

Dzmitry Samal has made a collection of watches called 'Watches' made out of concrete. Yes, I said concrete! Of all the possible materials you would consider to make a watch out of, in my mind, concrete would not be at the top of the list. In all fairness though, what do I really know about making watches?? I have to admit, they do look rather unique, worth the $1650(US) price range, I don't have that cash laying around, so I'm not one to say. Leave your comments
The Fourth installments of the 'Watches' collection is what I would like to refer to as the BL*EEN edition.
Here is what Dzmitry Samal has to say about his watches collection...
"Watchmaking, as I see is more than just a time measuring mechanism. It is the main male jewellery and should reflect the personality and strenght of its owner. I chose concrete, a noble, modern, honest and robust material, the stuff our megapolis are made of. My watches tell the story of an alliance of French creativity and Swiss technical performance, innovating in a field that has never been explored in watchmaking before. My designs are sophisticated in their simplicity and plainly contemporary..." - Dzmitry Samal

Project: Motorola DCT3416

My brothers Motorola DCT3416 died, and I figured I would attempt to fix it. I want to start out by saying I know very little about PVR's, other than somewhere buried inside is a standard computer hard drive. While dropping off the DCT3416, my brother informs me that it doesn't turn on, and that it makes this clicking noise. My first assumption is that the HD is corrupt and or damaged and preventing the machine from booting. Replacing the internal HD should produce a simple fix, so lets go about doing just that. Replacing the internal HD is going to be slightly more complicated than originally anticipated as the rear of the DCT3416 has 3 tamper proof/security screws, which I do not have a tool for. Instead I used a series of pliers, and 10 minutes later had all the screws removed. Here is what the tamper proof/security screws look like, once removed.   I should add that there is also a plastic security tab, just above the IEEE 1394 jacks, which disintegrated when I attempted to

Longboarding With Team Original

Love this video, makes longboarding look like so much fun. Do they rent longboards? Are there areas to longboard here in BC? Gonna have to find out and finally give this sport a try. Until then I'll have to keep watching this video... Via - LikeCool By: Mass

Duct Tape...It's Not Just For MacGyver Anymore

I came across this crazy site the other day called Duct Tape Fashion , which specializes in duct tape. Wait... I don't think I explained myself properly, there's a website dedicated to duct tape, and all things duct tape related. Ok, so maybe I did explain myself properly, WTF...really, duct tape. Well it seems duct tape isn't just for HVAC specialists and MacGyver anymore, it seems people are using duct tape to create all kinda of weird items like wallets, baseball caps, hats, bags, bracelets, purses, visors, and roses. Don't believe me, well check out some of these pics I got... Wallets Baseball Cap Hats Bags Bracelets Purses Visors Roses By: Mass
