Project: HP EX475 Home Server Part 3

As you can see my progress to this point has been quite the learning experience, and I stubbornly wanted to use the proprietary software created for this machine.
There are all sorts of methods to circumvent the blown LAN port, but the method I found to be easiest is to format a USB drive in FAT, then copy the HP SMI Files (this is where I found them online) to the root directory of the USB flash drive. Now you will need either a USB LAN or USB Wifi device with 32bit drivers !!!!! Copy the 32bit device drivers to the drivers folder of the SMI USB flash drive. Insert the SMI USB flash drive in the back bottom USB port and your LAN or Wifi device to another USB port. I was now able to boot my device and connect to it from a remote system and install the proprietary 'HP MediaSmart Server Recovery CD' Version 3. Remember to delete all partitions off the main hard drive before booting, or you will end up booting from the hard drive.
The best alternative option is to install a more modern operating system directly from USB boot (as I mentioned earlier), an option I just might try in the future.

Longboarding With Team Original

Love this video, makes longboarding look like so much fun. Do they rent longboards? Are there areas to longboard here in BC? Gonna have to find out and finally give this sport a try. Until then I'll have to keep watching this video... Via - LikeCool By: Mass

Blogger Has Died

Dear friends, fans, and followers. For the past few months my blog has been overrun with errors, making changes very difficult (if not impossible). On numerous occasions I've attempted to reset my blogger template, install a new templates, and even restore from an older version but I'm still unable to add or remove specific content from my blogs template. The initial problematic area was the blog post section which refuses to accept any changes or alterations to the date, author, title or social media links. I have suffered through this problem, but as of late it appears that the layout is now no longer accepting changes, and when displayed is no longer centered. If anyone has suggestions on how to fix these blogger issues, please email me. As a result, I will no longer be updating, as its too difficult maintain this blog.

Duct Tape...It's Not Just For MacGyver Anymore

I came across this crazy site the other day called Duct Tape Fashion , which specializes in duct tape. Wait... I don't think I explained myself properly, there's a website dedicated to duct tape, and all things duct tape related. Ok, so maybe I did explain myself properly, WTF...really, duct tape. Well it seems duct tape isn't just for HVAC specialists and MacGyver anymore, it seems people are using duct tape to create all kinda of weird items like wallets, baseball caps, hats, bags, bracelets, purses, visors, and roses. Don't believe me, well check out some of these pics I got... Wallets Baseball Cap Hats Bags Bracelets Purses Visors Roses By: Mass
